Isreal McKinney Scott

Isreal McKinney Scott is a New York based actor and fillmmaker originally from the vibrant city of New Orleans. Isreal received his MFA in Acting from The New School for Drama and a BA in Religious Studies from Millsaps College. He has acted on screen and stages across the country with a love and skill for Shakespeare, Devised Theater, Improv and documentaries highlighting marginalized communities. He is a cheerleader for anything that promotes unity through understanding. His original one man show, Road to America, was received with with rave reviews at Salon Klassick. Some favorite roles include Dave Robinson in the New York Area premiere of LOMBARDI at Harbor Lights Theater and Oliver in As You Like It (South Dakota Shakespeare Festival).

When not acting, Isreal holds a black belt in taekwondo, is an ordained minister, mentors youth, and loves to travel and learn about cultures around the world with his wife Colleen and daughter Isabel Mariah.

-Cameroon 2024: Taught Acting, Public Speaking and Filmmaking for 3 weeks residency @ US Embassy in Yaoundé. Produced several short films of participants. ​

-Nigeria 2022: Guest Lectured in acting and producing departments at the esteemed Ebony Life Creative Academy in Lagos.
